We’re recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking manufacturer with high expectations—and we’re looking for a Lean Manufacturing Engineer who has the drive, energy, and autonomy to make a real impact.
This isn’t a role for someone who just “keeps the wheels turning.” We need a sharp, proactive problem-solver who thrives on finding what’s not working, digging deep into the root cause, and putting robust, data-driven solutions in place—solutions that stick.
What you’ll be doing
• Driving Lean transformation across multiple UK sites—identifying waste, tackling inefficiencies, and embedding best practice.
• Getting into the detail on the shop floor: working alongside production and quality teams to spot problems early, analyse them rigorously, and implement permanent fixes.
• Leading time studies and data analysis to uncover insights, improve flow, and streamline processes.
• Acting as an Excel wizard—building clear, powerful data models and reports to influence decisions and drive accountability.
• Championing Lean tools such as 5S, root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone), and time & motion studies to deliver measurable improvements.
• Owning projects end-to-end—bringing energy, autonomy, and practical action to every challenge.
What we’re looking for
• At least 2 years’ manufacturing experience.
• Proven track record in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate numbers into clear actions.
• A self-starter who thrives on independence but can also engage teams to deliver results.
• Excellent communicator, able to influence across all levels of the business.
• Flexibility to travel between UK sites.
What’s in it for you
• Competitive salary + contributory pension.
• Employee savings scheme & assistance programme.
• On-the-job training and development opportunities.
